Cross River Rail - April 2020

Cross River Rail is a 10.2km rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, which includes a 5.9km twin tunnel under the Brisbane River and Brisbane CBD. The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park Station.  

Dundrum Civil was awarded a contract at Boggo Road entailing of a road realignment. The works of this scope comprised of the demolishment of existing features and the re-alignment of a road section on Boggo Road and Joe Baker Street.

Dundonnell Windfarm - July 2019 - May 2020

On the successive foundation made in Stockyard Hill Windfarm, Dundrum moved onto Dundonnell Windfarm. The site is located about 23 kilometers north-east of Mortlake, Western Victoria, in a sparsely populated area predominantly used for grazing stock. The wind farm will include 80 wind turbines and will be connected to the National Electricity Market (NEM) via a 38km 220kV transmission line to the Mortlake Gas Fired Power Station (MOPS). 

Dundrum scope of works included: 

  • 15 km of internal roads,  

  • Construction of 30 Hardstands  

  • 30 Turbine Foundation Excavations – Comprised of Volcanic Rock

Stockyard Hill Wind Farm September 2018 - August 2019

The project consists of 149 approved wind turbines located approximately 35 km west of Ballarat in Western Victoria. The Stockyard Hill Wind Farm has the potential to harness one of Victoria’s best wind resources and will provide substantial environmental, community and economic benefits, and will have the potential to power approximately 390,000 homes annually. 

Dundrum Civil Pty Ltd was awarded an Internal Earthworks Package including  

  • 44km of internal roads 

  • Construction of 65 Hardstands  

  • 65 Turbine Foundation Excavations – Dense Rock

Darling Downs Solar Farm September 2017 - May 2018

110-megawatt Darling Downs Solar Farm (DDSF) near Dalby in Queensland’s Darling Downs.  

The solar farm has approximately 430,000 solar panels covering approximately 250 hectares and connects into Powerlink’s existing Braemar Substation. 

Dundrum Civil Pty Ltd were awarded the internal ‘Dig-lay-bury’ scope 29km cable trench.
